The Ant Bully

The Ant Bully is a family film released on DVD in the United States that centers on Lucas Nickle a ten year old boy who has recently moved to a new neighborhood and is without friends while being targeted by a local bully and his gang. His parents are away on a honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta and are too occupied to attend to his problems. His sister is distracted by her cellular phone and his grandmother is obsessed with UFOs and aliens. Lucas endures constant bullying from an obese yet intimidating neighborhood bully and because he cannot fight back he takes out his anger on an anthill in his front yard by kicking it stomping it squirting it with his water gun and flooding it with a hose. This terrifies the ants who call Lucas the Destroyer. One wizard ant named Zoc who is hopeful and adventurous tries to solve the dilemma by devising a magic potion he believes will solve all their problems. The plan succeeds in shrinking Lucas down to ant size and forcing him to live like an ant within the colony which opens up an astonishing new world to him. Lucas learns first hand the value of friendship and teamwork ultimately leading the ants in an effort to save their colony from annihilation. In the process Lucas obtains the things he wants most which are friends companionship acceptance and the courage to stand up for himself.
